Why can I not add a file to my application?
If you cannot add a file to your application, make sure the file is in an allowed format and does not exceed the maximum size limit.
Note: A large file may take a long time to upload depending on your internet connection speed, among other factors. Your browser will indicate that it is processing while the file is uploading. Do not leave the page until the process is complete.
Information about accepted formats and maximum file size is provided next to the relevant field in the application. If no information is shown, all common formats are accepted and there is no file size limit.
You can check the file size prior to uploading by right-clicking on the file and selecting either Get Info (macOS) or Properties (Windows). An invalid file issue may also occur if the file is write-protected, copy-protected, or corrupted.
Tip! If your file exceeds the maximum size allowed for upload, you can compress it. There are several websites that offer this for free, such as Smallpdf. On these sites, you can also convert your file format, for example from DOCX to PDF.
